Culture

The Baldivis Football Club has a culture that is admired and respected by the local community. We have a strong buy-in policy where all players are treated equally and strive to bring the best out of their peers and themselves. As a club we strive for on-field success, but more importantly we try to create a safe space where players and our community members feel at home with-in the Club. Our core values of ‘Commitment, Teamwork, Respect’ feature heavily in our Club culture, and we believe is part of the reason we have such a strong united Club that people want to be a part of, and for many years to come.

The Baldivis Football Club was first established in 1985 as a Junior Football Club. It wasn’t until 2005 that the Brumbies entered their first Senior team in the Colts competition of the Peel Football League. In 2006, the first League and Reserves team were entered, and the rest is history. The first taste of Senior success came in 2013, when David Mews lead his Colts team to the clubs first Senior Premiership in the PFNL. 2016 marked one of the strongest years for the club with our Colts, Reserves, and League teams all making the grand final. This brought us home our inaugural League Premiership under the leadership of Michael McCann. 2017 brought with it our first Reserves Premiership led by Future Club President Brian Emery. The League team would taste success again in 2019, this time led by Craig Hamersley, while in 2020 Brian Emery would add to his premiership coaching credentials, taking the Reserves to another successful victory. In 2021, our Senior club made the move to the Perth Football League (PFL) securing a League and Reserves premiership in their first season in the C1 competition. This yielded former club Captain Emmanuel Collard his first premiership coaching, while Michael McCann made it 2/2 in the League. In 2023, the Baldivis Football Club features sides in the B Grade, C5, E4, Drew Banfield Colts, and the B Grade women’s competitions, making them one of the largest Senior and Junior clubs in Western Australia.

Each year we continue to grow as a Club with 2023 looking to be the biggest season yet with an estimated combined total of registered players easily reaching over 1000. Our teams consist of over 150 Senior players (League, Reserves, Colts, Thirds, Fourths, Fifths and Women’s), 600 Junior players, and over 300 Auskick players. Baldivis is one of the fastest growing clubs in the Perth region, and with our brand new state of the art facilities located on Eighty Road, you wouldn’t want to play your football anywhere else!
